While still living in The Netherlands, I became inspired by an ancient Zuni Myth of Creation, “tci’mikana’kapa:” being-coming-out-becoming-in-sacred-space-forever. Creation in this myth began with the sun. I created a book, using jig-saw pieces of zinc, printing on both sides of the paper in the same (printing) run, symbolizing two-parts, uniting in creation (Sun and Water; Sky Father and Earth Mother), uniting in creation – consistent with the myth.

It is interesting that some of the imagery of the mountain designs in the book actually became the place in Arizona where later I lived after I moved to the US – without ever having seen photos of Sedona.
